Eugeniy Zhovtis is released for amnesty

On February 1, 2012 the court in a penal colony of Ust-Kamenogorsk city has decided to release for amnesty Eugeniy ZHOVTIS, director of Kazakhstan International bureau for human rights and rule of law, and Tokhniyaz KUCHUKOV, journalist of newspaper “Vremya”.

 Both former prisoners will be released within 15 days after the decision enters into force.
